  • What hours is your music school open?

    Class Act Music Academy’s school hours are by appointment only. To schedule a site visit or to answer any questions, please email: contact@camusicacademy.com

  • How much are private lessons?

    30 minute private lesson costs are paid in a tuition of $200 per month for one 30 minute private lesson per week. Please contact us for 45 minute or 60 minute private lesson tuition costs.

  • How much a month will private lessons cost me?

    Private lessons are charged at the beginning of the month at a flat rate of $200 per month for 30 minute private lessons.

  • When do I have to pay for private lessons?

    All private lesson tuition is due no later than the first lesson for the remainder of the month. After the initial month, all private lesson tuition is due on the first of the month for all of the lessons scheduled for that month.

    For instance, all private lesson tuition is due June 1st for all lessons occurring June 1st through June 30th.

  • What is the cancellation policy?

    Students need to submit in writing to contact@camusicacademy.com their intention to cancel lessons two weeks prior to the first of the month. This is out of courtesy to the instructor to give time to fill the students empty slot prior to the next billing cycle.

    Any mid-month cancellations will not receive a refund.

  • How often are private lessons?

    In general private lessons occur once a week on the same day and the same time. For instance, if your 30-minute private lesson occurs on Tuesday at 4:30pm, it will occur every Tuesday at 4:30pm.

  • What days and times are private lessons available?

    Private lessons are currently offered Tuesday through Sunday at varying times with varying instructors.

  • Can both of my students share one private lesson class?

    Unfortunately each private lesson student has to have their own either 30-minute or 60-minute private lesson slot.

    If you are interested in a group class, please check out our group classes offered in the Fall and in the Spring in semester sessions.

  • How do I cancel or reschedule a lesson?

    You can cancel and reschedule eligible lessons through our teaching/scheduling platform TeacherZone.

    Let your instructor know if you prefer to receive a virtual mini-lesson or if you prefer to reschedule your cancelled lesson.

  • Can I reschedule a cancelled lesson?

    If you have contacted CAMA 24 hours or more in advance to give notice of a missed lesson you are welcome to reschedule it into any open slot within 30 days through TeacherZone.

    All students are eligible to receive one free rescheduled lesson a quarter regardless of the time-frame for cancelling a lesson. For instance, if your student wakes up sick and you call out the morning of their lesson, you will be eligible to reschedule their lesson into any open time slot within 30 days through TeacherZone once a quarter.

    All no-call/no-shows are ineligible for a make-up lesson.

  • How long do I have to reschedule an eligible missed lesson?

    You have 30 days from the date of the eligible missed lesson to reschedule your lesson into any available time slot.

  • What if I forget to call and miss a lesson?

    Unfortunately all no-call/no-shows are ineligible for make-up lessons. You will forfeit your in-person lesson, but your instructor may upload a mini-lesson to TeacherZone for your student to complete during the week.

  • Can I contact my/my students instructor directly?

    All parents can contact their instructors directly through TeacherZone or via your instructor’s school email.

    All students that are allowed an account are also able to contact their instructors through TeacherZone.

    All communication with instructors must be made through TeacherZone or through their instructor’s school email.

  • How much are group classes?

    Group classes are $25 per class, billed monthly.

  • Can I have a make-up lesson for a missed group class?

    Unfortunately we are unable to offer a private make-up lesson for a missed group class. If there is another section of the group class on a different day and time, your student is welcome to attend that class as a make-up.

    Otherwise, the instructor will provide the key elements of the class your student missed for them to work on throughout the week through your TeacherZone student portal.

  • Can my student attend only a few group classes?

    Our group classes are serial, and the content builds upon the last week, so we do strongly suggests students attend class weekly.

    This keeps things fun for the students and keeps students from feeling lost or having knowledge gaps.

    If you need to miss a group class, please contact your instructor for material from the missed class.

  • I registered for group classes and only attended half of them, can I have a refund?

    There are no refunds or credits on group class tuition unless extreme circumstances present themselves accompanied by a doctors note.

    Any credits or refunds that are issued are done so at the sole discretion of the Executive Director on a case-by-case basis.
